After his PhD in nanopatterning/biointerfaces, Stefan gave up his cape and test tubes and took a position in Science Communications at the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre. Having had a passion for science since childhood, inspired his dad building a telescope that the family would shiver around with tea and toast at 3 in the morning, and his own early Heath-Robinsonesque forays into invention as a little lad (involving lots of string and marbles), Stefan loves reading, writing and talking about all aspects of scientific discovery. He also loves the future, good food and drink, and funny animals.
